The Big Idea

In 2008, The Tech Museum awarded $5,000 prizes to the most successful exhibit concepts that were developed through this site and in our Second Life galleries.

This exhibition was the first created using The Tech Virtual platform, and was installed at The Tech Museum as the "Virtual Test Zone Gallery" on June 4, 2008. These exhibits explore the science and technology behind art, film, and music as well as their creative processes. Some of the concepts became part of the larger, "Creative Engines" exhibition that was developed.

The design competition also produced virtual exhibits for The Tech Museum in Second Life
