The Big Idea
3D Programmable Laser Animation is my new invention to transform two dimensional steady and motion images into real three dimensional steady and motion images and be visible in 360 degree. It can be preprogrammed and/or interactive.
3D Programmable Laser Animation.
It is based on the principle of the simultaneous and multi-viewpoints of space vision as was described in Project: Sound Garden (http://thetechopensource.thetech.org/projects/sound-garden). For more than thirty years one of my dreams has been to enable one to go through the real three-dimensional forms like somebody passed through a brick wall. To reach my aim, first I applied form segments in my installations in the predecessor installations to the Sound Garden concept where visitors were able to pass through the forms.
My new invention, the Programmable Laser Animation (PLA) was shown at the Kinetica Art Fair 2012 (London) that was a hardware capable of transforming two-dimensional images generated by computer (in a limited way) into real three dimension, and capable of making physically real three-dimensional (3D.) animation with sound visible in 360 degrees. The hardware provides a real 3D. playground for appliers to make their own 2D. programs, texts, motives, numbers, figures, games and animations by computer as this hardware transforms it into real 3D. while the images are transparent and visible in 360 degrees. If the hardware would be large enough the visitors could even swim in a diving suit inside and would be able to pass through the walls constructed by light (energy).
There is no limit in size and form for the underlying technology. It can be installed inside and/or outside space as required. I propose to create a visual experience to be enjoyable both from the inside (theoretically with diving equipment) and the outside (casually), in daylight and at night of size towering the exhibiting space (height more than 5 meters or anything that can be manufactured) with low production and maintaining costs. Images of my previous projects forming the basis for the one proposed are attached. It is a significant point that the laser sculpture is very safe and needs minimum service.
