Artist in Residence - The Painter

To enable the audience to experience the role of the painter - through visual aids, animation and audio stream - to step into the shoes of the painter and 'paint' an existing painting by a real painter.

Characters Alive

Interact with pictures, sounds, and abstract ideas behind Chinese characters. Experience how multimedia technology can offer some fascinating solutions to the challenge of learning these ancient language symbols. Virtual interactions can help to awaken logic, reasoning, and intuition.

Waterwall

The Waterwall is an art installation in which the visitor creates the art by manipulating the flow of water.

To enable the audience to experience the role of the painter - through visual aids, animation and audio stream - to step into the shoes of the painter and 'paint' an existing painting by a real painter.  This is the physical exhibit at The Tech Museum inspired by Marie Crandell's Artist in Residence - The Painter, prototyped in Second Life.

Pixel in use. Pixel

PIXEL connects people through their eyes. Peer into the PIXEL and invite others to experience what you see. The PIXEL exposes exactly what you are looking at by tracking your eye movements. Tethering multiple PIXELs together creates a personal and intimate visual connection.

Berlin Wall extended with 1000 loudspeakers. SPEAKERS SCULPTURES

An interactive Speakers Corner for a public space in front of a museum. People can call up the sculpture and talk through it for 3 minutes. Constructed from 3000 recycled loudspeakers.

Celestial Messenger Celestial Messenger

This project is to install a kinetic sculpture of dragon. The dragon carries a covert message written in binary code, it is generated by light obstruction (0) and transmission (1) through the pin holes on dragon’s body. The concept is illustrated in attached images.

Viewers don stereo glasses and use a Wii controller to navigate through a 3D model of an ant colony on an interactive immersive system.

The columns

Communication in art has always been the reflection of real and fictional. The world is changing and it is not enough to see art. More and more people want to be an actors and self to create what to see. The extensions of sensitivity lies in our three columns. It allows the viewer how it can be influenced more senses. Dynamic-kinetic sculpture in combination with future sensitivity is in the understanding of art. As the distance between people leads us to use a different type of communication- the real and digital, and in kinetic sculpture receives game off and change shape, light and sound. This change contributes to the different sensations in people.
